Whether you own the flat or rent it, the move works the same way. You tell us the dates, the addresses and what you are moving. We tell you what it will take. Pricing is by truck-load or package, whichever suits your move.

Number of lorry loads
Most HDB moves take 3 to 6 loads, and up to 8 for households with a lot of belongings.
Access at both addresses
Steps outside the unit, a far loading point, or no loading point nearby can add a charge. Tell us upfront.
Furniture to dismantle
Beds, tables and wardrobes can be dismantled and reassembled, after a quick condition check.
Packing and unpacking
Boxes and tape are on loan. Packing and unpacking are two separate charges.
Disposal of bulky items
If you would rather not move something, we can arrange disposal as part of the service.
The items on the day are almost always more than the items you list, so we word every quote as an estimate. A photo or video of every room, or a free site survey, tightens it.

Flat type is only a starting point. Two 4-room flats can need very different numbers of loads, depending on furniture, storage boxes and how long the household has lived there. Customers often tell us one load is enough, and it is almost always more on the day. A photo or video of every room, or a site survey, gets us much closer to the real number than a flat type alone.
Moving by HDB Flat Type
HDB flats come in several types, and your actual belongings matter more than the label. According to MyNiceHome, 2-room flats have 1 bedroom, 3-room flats have 2, 4-room and 5-room flats have 3, and 3Gen flats have 4. Executive flats are resale only, and HDB stopped building them in 1995. MyNiceHome also notes that layout and floor area vary from flat to flat.
2-Room and 3-Room Flats
Smaller flats often mean fewer large pieces of furniture, but boxes, storage tubs and kitchen items add up faster than most people expect. Tell us about any bulky items, such as a fridge, washing machine or wardrobe, so we can plan the manpower.
4-Room and 5-Room Flats
This is where loads climb. Count your beds, wardrobes and storeroom items, and tell us which ones need dismantling. The 5-room job further down shows what a 4-load move looks like in practice.
3Gen, Executive and Older Flats
Larger layouts and older resale flats can mean more rooms to clear and more access questions, such as steps outside the unit. Executive flats, including executive apartments (EA), are resale only, so check the access at both addresses early.
Check Lift Access Before Moving Day
The lift and the doorways decide how smoothly bulky items move, so measure them before moving day.
Item Dimensions, Doors and Lifts
Measure your largest items, such as the fridge, washing machine, wardrobe, mattress and sofa. Then compare them with the lift doors, the turn out of the lift lobby and your entrance, at both addresses. Even 1 to 2cm can matter, as one of our recent jobs showed (see below). Tell us your floor, and whether the move is by lift or stairs.
Plan Lorry Access and Loading
Tell us early where the lorry will load, because it affects both the route and the time the move takes.
Loading Location and Route to the Lift
In most of our HDB moves, the loading point is within 30m of the block, so there is no extra charge. In some older estates, the nearest loading point is 1 to 2 blocks away or even further, and some have no loading point nearby at all. A far loading point or steps up to the unit may add a charge, so tell us upfront.
What Counts as Standard Access for an HDB Move
Easy access keeps your move quick. If the way from your door to our lorry is harder than usual, there is an extra charge. Here is how we tell the difference.
In some older blocks, not every unit is served by the lift
In some older blocks the lift does not stop at every level, so a unit may be reached by stairs. If there are steps between your door and the lift, we carry everything up or down them. That is the steps charge.
Confirm Block Arrangements and Moving Times
Check both the collection and delivery addresses, because arrangements must be in place to gauge the entirety of the move. Moving a house requires a good plan. Give us your preferred time & date + a backup.
Monday to Saturday
We move from Monday to Saturday and are closed on Sundays. If you want a public holiday, tell us in advance. A surcharge applies on public holidays only.

A Real HDB Move: 5-Room Flat to Executive Apartment in Yishun
A customer moved from a 5-room HDB flat to an Executive Apartment HDB, both in Yishun, and it took 4 lorry loads from 9am to about 3pm. The customer agreed to let us share the job here, with the unit details left out.
The tricky part came at the new flat. Their glass-front fridge and their washing machine missed the gate of the new flat by 1 to 2cm. We tilted both. The new gate had not been screwed in yet, so we lifted it off its hinges, moved the items in and hung the gate back on. The fridge had carton board wrapped over its glass front to protect it along the way.
The beds took time too. We reassembled one queen bed frame and two bunk beds at the new flat.

Tell us before the day. Where it makes sense, we tilt items or dismantle furniture to get it through. We may decline to dismantle a piece that is wobbly, deteriorating or cannot be reassembled properly.
